We can provide machine owners with a copy of the original factory record for single-cylinder motorcycles sold by Veloce Ltd. Our records cover most Velocettes built between June 1921 and May 1951, and all KTTs to 1953. There are exceptions: the Club does not have, and therefore cannot supply, details for the MAF, or for the MAC after Engine No. MAC 16676, or for any rear-sprung models (except the KTT). For information on MACs between Engine Nos. MAC 16677 and 19318 and for 1952-onwards rear-sprung-framed machines, you should consult either Grove Classic Motorcycles or The Velocette Motorcycle Co. in Meriden.

Please check that your model is covered before submitting your order. In particular please note that our records do not cover Swinging Arm models, for example Venom, Viper.

The information available is: engine number, frame number, invoice number and date, and the name of the dealer to whom the machine was sold. With the exception of export sales, the information may also include the customer’s name and address, the date of purchase and the name of his dealer. Pre-war records include the gearbox number and, in the 1920’s, the make of magneto, tyres, saddle, carburetter, lighting set, etc. were also often noted. Please note that frames were not used by Veloce in numerical order: also for some machines it can be difficult, and on rare occasions impossible, to locate the record.

A certified copy of this information is available to Non VOC members in the UK and overseas for a fee of £21, including VAT & postage. To requests a copies you must supply the FRAME NUMBER and ENGINE NUMBER (including prefix letters) of your machine.
