The results achieved by the Velocette-mounted competitors in the British Historic Racing Club 2024 season have been compiled and advised to the competitors. Participation was down on last year with only six riders, all of whom were VOC members, namely Phil Betty, Stephen Denman, Tony Green, Sam Page, Bill Swallow and Ashley Wilkinson. They totalled 91 starts as against 148 last season, though Ashley was as active as ever on his MkVIII KTT and his newly-developed 500 MSS/KTT. Ashley’s performance earned him not only our Dave Allcock Trophy (for the highest total points of any Velocette-mounted competitor) and our Renee Rhodes Trophy (for the most 350cc podium finishes) but also, thanks to his 500 MSS/KTT, our Arthur Lavington Trophy (most 500cc podium finishes). The next most active and successful competitor was Sam Page, whose results on his girder-forked MAC earned him our Harold Willis Trophy.

We are as ever grateful to Veloce Spares Ltd for sponsoring the start money payments, which have already been distributed to the riders to help finance winter fettling, together with some “Supported by Veloce Spares Ltd” stickers to apply to their race machines. The trophies will be presented at our upcoming AGM. We are grateful to the riders for the visibility of the Velocette marque provided by their considerable efforts, expertise and expense and to John Hannis for his efforts and skill in scrutinising the published race results.
