Velocette racing results: 2022 season

Posted on: | Category:

The results achieved by the Velocette-mounted competitors in the British Historic Racing 2022 season have been compiled, verified thanks to the good offices of John Hannis and advised to the competitors, all of whom were VOC members. The results showed a recovery from the downturn during Covid, our 11 competitors totalling 144 race starts and sharing £5,760 in start money. The irrepressible Tony Green (MAC) pulled off the double again by winning both the Dave Allcock Trophy (most total points) and the Renee Rhodes Trophy (350cc class, most podiums). The Arthur Lavington Trophy (500cc class, most podiums) went to Nigel Heath (Vel/Nor) and the Harold Willis Trophy (Girder-forked podiums) was won once again by Keith Riley, on his rapid & reliable KSS. Veloce Spares Ltd generously sponsored the start money, which has already been distributed to the riders to help finance winter fettling, together with some “Supported by Veloce Spares Ltd” stickers to apply to their race machines. The trophies will be presented at our upcoming AGM.
